Overview
Eastpoint leaders learn to rely on and develop their inherent courage and compassion - essential to meet the fear and anxiety of our time. They discern beyond the superficial and act decisively and creatively for the benefit of those they lead and the people and organizations they serve.
This EastPoint Leadership program has been developed for experienced leaders in organizations of all kinds, as well as for individual entrepreneurs wishing to further develop their leadership skills to a higher level. The program is suitable for senior leaders and high level executives.
What to Expect
Upon registration, with your confirmation email you will receive a brief questionnaire, and we will schedule a pre-workshop one-on-one coaching session with you.
EastPoint Leadership retreats take place primarily in the outdoors in the natural environment. We leave behind our everyday context, including cell phones, laptops, and PDAs. Each participant sleeps in a large weatherproof tent. Meals are simple, but of high quality, made from fresh organic ingredients.
The retreat is no physical boot camp or endurance test – the exercises we do are fairly gentle physically and we welcome participants of all ages and fitness levels. Nevertheless, there is a certain amount of standing and walking, so a minimum level of fitness is necessary.
You will receive a list of useful and recommended items to bring, such as appropriate foot and outer wear, with your registration confirmation email.
The schedule includes awareness exercises, meditation (no experience necessary), gentle morning exercise, group formation exercises and leadership exercises in the open fields and in the woods, as well as presentations, discussions, and coaching sessions. A sense of humor as well as willingness to openly explore one’s own leadership qualities is essential. The workshop is challenging, effective, light-hearted — and a lot of fun!
EastPoint Leadership Level 1 includes the pre-program one-on-one coaching session, individual and group coaching sessions during the retreat, as well as two follow-up coaching sessions after the program. Coaching sessions are an integral part of the program and are included in the price.
Outcomes
The EastPoint Level 1 program provides you with:
- An understanding, through direct experience, of your current leadership style, strengths, and challenges
- Training in a warm and supportive environment - to strengthen and develop your desired qualities and skills
- Practices to maintain development of those qualities and skills after the retreat
- An individual Leadership LPA (Learning, Practice, and Action) Plan that integrates those practices into your life
- A coach and supportive group of colleagues to help you implement your LPA Plan and become a more integrated leader in work & life.
Focus of Learning
EastPoint Programs emphasize development of key qualities and skills accessible only through action and practice.
The Coaching Track
EastPoint’s Coaching Track is unique. We have adopted it because we have too often been to workshops, enjoyed the experience and felt we’ve learned a lot, but then realized we have forgotten most of the content a week or two later! The EastPoint Coaching Track is designed to address this shortcoming..
